About Me

A pleasure to meet you! I'm Alexander Koziell-Pipe, a Computer Science PhD student at the University of Oxford.

I have a deep enthusiasm for Mathematics, Computing, and the Natural Sciences, which is reflected in my interdisciplinary research spanning Pure Mathematics, Quantum Computing, and Artificial Intelligence. My passion for learning extends beyond academia into finance, the global economy, and the transformative impact of future technologies.

Before pursuing my PhD, I earned a First Class Degree in Physics from the University of Oxford. My professional experience includes working as a Computer Vision Engineer at a startup, as a Professional Tutor, and as a Data Science Intern at Hitachi Vantara.

Outside of my academic and professional pursuits, I am an avid sports enthusiast. I enjoy hiking, skiing, windsurfing, tennis, horsemanship, climbing and gymnastics. One of my proudest athletic achievements is serving as the Men's Captain of the Oxford University Gymnastics team, where I found great joy in helping beginners grow and develop their skills to compete as a part of our team at a national level.

I am also passionate about education, health and fitness, reading, and learning new languages. I strive to leave a positive, lasting impression on everyone I meet and am committed to making a meaningful impact in all my endeavors.

Here is an attempt to summarize the amazing life I am lucky to have had so far in photographs (work in progress):
